Zoladex 3.6mg Inj. x 1 (NAFDAC)

Zoladex Injection is used to treat hormone-sensitive conditions. It is a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist that works by suppressing the production of sex hormones like estrogen and testosterone.

USES:

• Prostate Cancer: Zoladex is used in the treatment of advanced prostate cancer. By lowering testosterone levels, it helps slow the growth of hormone-sensitive prostate cancer cells.
• Breast Cancer: It is also used in certain cases of hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer, particularly in premenopausal women. Zoladex can lower estrogen levels, which can slow or stop the growth of hormone-sensitive breast tumors.
• Endometriosis: Zoladex is used to treat endometriosis by reducing estrogen levels, which helps shrink endometrial tissue and alleviate symptoms like pain.
• Uterine Fibroids: In women with uterine fibroids, Zoladex can reduce the size of fibroids and improve symptoms, especially before surgery.
• Assisted Reproductive Technology: Zoladex is sometimes used in fertility treatments to control ovarian function.
