INDICATION:

Yasmin is a brand name for a combination birth control pill that contains two hormones: ethinyl estradiol and drospirenone. It’s used to prevent pregnancy by inhibiting ovulation, thickening cervical mucus to prevent sperm from reaching an egg, and thinning the lining of the uterus to prevent implantation of a fertilized egg. Additionally, Yasmin may also be prescribed to treat acne in certain individuals and to regulate menstrual cycles.
